Another painting I did for my Independent Study last semester.
This actually has a point to it, gasp. When I was in middle school/high school I was put through the obsessive dieting trend thing, so I have issues with obsessive dieting for the purposes of being "attractive." I feel that when someone caves into the pressure to do that and focuses on dieting so much, to the point that it becomes their life, they are robbed of and miss out on a lot of other, much more fun and useful things they could have done with their time and their life. So this is about that, depicted through a woman attached to a diet machine. The machine is supposed to be sucking her life out of her, symbolized by all the things she missed.
WOOT!!!!!!!! I totally agree with the whole "dieting" thing!!! I know, I'm always complaining about being fat myself! But I'd rather ride my bike back and forth to work every day to get exercise and lose weight than starve myself. There's far too much good stuff out there to eat! I really love the way you did this, though! Not only do the colors grab you, but it's very well thought out and laid out.
Wow, I love this! *clear fav* It scares me.. Only thing that quirks me, how come she still has boobs?

The symbolism is bold and self-explanatory. The sense of mundanity, hollow despair, and relentless exhaustion is captured well by the washed-out grimey grey and contrast with the faded but varied colors.
We want to know what love means to you!
Get your creative juices flowing and design a movie poster for "Paper Heart" that focuses on the theme "What Does Love Mean to Me?".

The butter legion- a socialist movement/mass colab project I started, to trigger artistic change and evolution in Da artists (mainly my watchers), to make them more active and dedicated on DA. Now 170 people strong and growing... A "dangerous cult"? a "new religion"? "artistic version of fight club" or "communist movement"? You decide!
Hello there! This news article is the result of a thumb share thread I posted few days ago on the dA forum along with pictures from my favorites. I hope you enjoy them.
